Ottawa(corrected text)
Although I haven't visited The Mint in Japan, I had a chance to go to one in Canada.
This one makes coins for collecters , not circulation coins.
They make coins for many countries as well !
It was very interesting to see the process of making currency :)
This is the Parliament Buildings.
They had a slide show using the building as a background.
They showed and talked about historically famous Canadians.
We sat on the grass and enjoyed the show. I felt like being at an open theater :D
It was so amazing to see so many beautiful churches in Canada!
We have a lot of nice temples though :D
You can see the Canadian flag everywhere. Even on a horse's butt!
We put up our flag at some homes on a national holiday or school premises in general ,but not as many as in Canada.
They must love the country for sure :D
This is the end of my trip to Canada this past summer.
I hope you enjoyed sharing my little journey :D

You are right. I guess you can use the design of Japanese flag only in a "Lunch box". Rice and pickled plum would represent it well :D
Wanko san is really something, isn't she! She is very witty both in Japanese and English, and of coruse in Kansaiben. I admire her so much!
By the way, have you figured out to download to your ipod the text along with the audio files? I used to copy and paste in "text style" and download them on the note. However, you can only download 4kb in this particular section. Instead, I found out that you can copy the text on "歌詞” fof each file. After you download an audiofile into your itune, you right-click the particular file and click on ”歌詞”、you can paste its text content on that section.
While listening to the conten with your iPod, you click the center wheel twice (or three times) then the text will show up. Also, if you download audio files in the "Audiobooks", you can adjust the speed of reading.
Hitomi,
Yes,Wanko san is very funny and smart lady!
Maybe you mistook me for Leonie san as to the ipod question. I would like to read the text on ipod especially the News though !
HI, Yukiko!
I know Hideko san was talking about the ipod. At the same time, I remembered you were looking for a free software, (a long time ago). I suddenly remembered this and left the comment. (I think I am getting old and losing the sense of time. ) Being too busy at work makes you lose your sense of dates, days as well as time!
How are your pronunciation lessens with Kerri? I am still finding out to organize my speaking session to be more constructive, though I enjoy talking to my tutors very much.
Hi Hitomi,
I am impressed with your good memory. You are such a caring person :D
I found a website that explains about reading the text on ipod. However, I am too lazy to try because it looks too complicated...
I have enjoyed a pronouciation session with Kerri. It is very motivating :) I upgraded to premium because of this. I have 8 discussion left each month excluded these pronunciation sessions. That's still not enough since The Linguist has more and more new tutors!
